Some of my thoughts on Life, creativity and growth…things that make us richer, deeper and more loving human beings….

It's the experience resulting from being in the trenches, the woods, where we are truly tested in our ability to manifest that I-I state of awareness…with All Our Humanity showing…and being embraced by us. To maintain that solidarity of consciousness –– being both the experience and the observer at the same time…in Full Knowing Love and s/Self-Love while the mud of maya is seemingly All There Is about us. This is the Dark Night of the Soul, the Suffering, from which we gain purchase on and emerge the butterfly, the phoenix, the lotus, the Loving Knower. We find…Love, Humility, Compassion and Wisdom in their simplest form through this temperance, this initiation, this marriage of the body, mind, heart and soul with Spirit –– offering us lasting roots in Full Embodied Being.
Our lives are forever passing through this experiential cycle, journeying to higher, deeper, broader and richer plateaus in our Spiral of Life. . .each time emerging with the potential of making manifest the implicit of our self-discoveries in the explicit world.

A texture, a pattern…our history it is. And through duality we both are and are not our history. Internal curiosities and inspirations began early in my life. The creative, esoteric and spiritual realms beckoned and lit their fires within me some time ago.

A texture, a pattern…our history it is. And through duality we both are and are not our history. Internal curiosities and inspirations began early in my life. The creative, esoteric and spiritual realms beckoned and lit their fires within me some time ago.
Ever becoming.
Our histories lend these colors and textures to who we are today, and whom we may become in tomorrow's light….
Creating things has always seemed to satisfy. I like coming up with answers that both solve problems as well as create wondrous beauty. Things that evoke and inspire the spirit, our hearts and passions.
Creating enchantment, magic and wonder…the awe of beauty that nestles us, while simultaneously holds doors open to the Creative.
Things in art, architectural treatments, interiors, music, fabrics, foods, good conversation. Was a graphic designer for a number of years, and now I create exquisite artistic interiors. I was born in Mexico City, and grew up in southern California and later moved to Denver. I feel passion for whatever it is I take on. Life can be simple –– but it can also be as full, as it is simple.
This doesn't mean I'm the absolute best at everything I attempt, but that I get involved. Do it all the way. Enjoy the details –– and work through the ones that seem difficult at the time…and that will later lead to appreciation and fulfillment.
Much of the creative process can frequently involve some mundane reality checks! : ) I have to remind myself here and there that I'm holding a bigger picture –– return to the seed inspiration and overview which gave birth to the project, and realign.

Sacred and Inpired Art
I also like being removed from this process of manifestation.
Being. No agendas. Peace.
Contentment. No-thing complicated.
Receiving. Seeing. Hearing. Surrendering.
To me, Life is also about truth, synergy, passion, simpatico and a sense of numinous awe.
It's also about conscious ambiguity…duality in the process of becoming a Singularity of Consciousness. The observer and the observed becoming One. Spirit and our Humanity all within the same breath. Knowing and Humility in simultaneity.
This Awe has always been involved in my own journey, as well as in the collaboration I've sought in my relationships –– both interpersonal and intimate relationships, as well as those with family, friends, associates and clients. I'm a single dad, a loving father to my children –– two adult children and one young one –– all sharp, beautiful, creative, talented and charming people. An Awe-FULL and loving experience it is, bringing immeasurable joy and fulfillment.
I think our mission here on Planet Earth is about seeking spiritual fulfillment and awareness, but just as much, working it the other way (from the world of Spirit, back down and out into our worlds –– embodying and expressing Spirit as well as seeking it) in fully embracing and enjoying our Humanity and the wondrous beauty which our world of material accoutrements holds for
the creative visions of our hearts and souls. To me it's all interwoven and there's no need to segregate the two. As long as we don't eclipse the intention of our souls, and of Spirit, we should dance our dance, make and enjoy our beauty. As well as being conscious, we need to let go and Be our process. We are Sacred.

Something that is difficult or impossible to understand or explain. The Great Embrace of the Magic and Marriage –– the Alchemical Coalescence of the Implicit with its devine expressive form in the Beloved Explicit.

This is Life. Hell, it's not always clear. So much of it is Implied. What do we make of it? I guess that's our important question. I think I live amongst all three of these –– Explicit, Implicit and The Mystery. That's where the fun is.
I heard a long time ago that art –– as well as artists' lives –– could be characterized as harmony through conflict. Personally and professionally I've seen this. Art and Life…mimicking each other as reciprocating simbiotic metaphores. Some things in life come easy, yes. And there's no need to make them difficult. But some things just take a bona fide amount of effort. There's a real sense of satisfaction from things that may have been born out of commitment and fortitude…a love of the work, the vision and finally, the outcome. This takes maturity, self-discipline and temperance –– many times compassion for the self. And no…I don't live for the struggle. I think my challenge, still, is to remember to call on and embrace the moment of the process –– when I enjoy the continuity in the surrender to the vision. The Zen of the creative process.
Great artists were born of great passion…I assume some obsession. I think I fought it, feared it, thinking it pulled me off the beaten path too far. And then somewhere along the line, I realized it was the path. My path anyway.

And so now I toy with how that all fits into a life. Where does that mesh with others, or another? Creatives are interesting, provocative, sometimes charismatic people…sometimes outcasts. They're the spice and color of life. Though they're not for everyone –– at least not always as everyone's best or intimate friends. But when you can find that happening…the magic, the rarified mystique of a connection forged in a simpatico understanding of the soul and a meeting of hearts and mind…there is elation and bliss…joy.
